My name is Daniel McMonagle and I’m originally from the North of Ireland although I have lived in most counties over the years.

During my travels as a young child I discovered an origami book with very rough diagrams and 0 English.

Skipping through the pages seeing a square of paper magically take on actual structure immediately captured my attention, through months of working out these strange unfamiliar texts I accomplished some, but not all the models in the book.

What I wasn’t prepared for was the absolute zen achieved through keeping my hands and mind entirely focused on this magical artform.

And that is what I want to share with you.

Origami is not only art, but engineering and mathematics aswell as the ability to take the most humble material and breath life into it.
